How much Dengi should i use?
If you’re using Dengi on its own and you have floor dwelling birds its best to have a good layer to act as insulation.
How long will 50l last for 3-4 hens?
50l will last a month if you poo pick to keep it fresh.
Can dengi be composted?
Yes, its easily composted and breaks down much faster than wood shavings.

Dengie Fresh Bed For Chickens is a chopped straw bedding with pine oil added for its natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Developed in association with the British Hen Welfare Trust, Fresh Bed is designed to keep your hens feeling warm and cosy. The bedding also smells so clean and fresh and will keep your coop fragrant and help keep it clean.
- Chopped, dust extracted straw bedding, perfect size bale for smaller coops and bantam set ups.
- Includes pine oil a natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal agent
- Easy disposal as will compost much quicker than shavings and wood pellets and produces great compost for your veggie!
- The 50 ltr bale will last 5 hens about 2 weeks.
- Please note this product is not suitable for rabbits, guinea pigs or other small furries
